brooklyn bridge
I thought I would share this photo of the brooklyn bridge I took form the brooklyn bridge Park. It was under construction so I was not able to get more of the bridge in the photo. I thought an old time look would look good. I printed this photo and hung it above an old antique couch I have in the basement. In the print you dont have the distracting building on the far left of the image.
I like it. I like pictures that look old and I think you’ve done a good job at making it look that way. It’s too bad the Verizon building is so modern looking. It would have been so much better if they had build it in a similar style to the older buildings that are in that area, that I think look a lot nicer. I think architects and designers now are doing a much better job at building new builds that fit into existing neighborhoods.
I have a thing for bridges (not sure why), so I LOVE this photo. I have some photos of it from a harbor tour John and I took a few years back, but they were taken at night from a boat, when my skills were even more lacking than they are now. We ran out of time to walk across it, which is like my top priority next time we hit NYC.
The only thing that would make it better for me is if the composition were a little different – I’d like to see the bridge a little more separated from the building directly behind it.
